A little kindness goes a long way. This month, we’re participating in the ‘Share the Dignity’ #dignitydrive to collect as many sanitary items as possible for Australian women escaping family violence, or experiencing homelessness, unemployment or financial crisis.
Share the Dignity is a not-for-profit organisation committed to ensuring every woman in Australia has the ability to manage their periods with dignity.
Donations of sanitary items must be brand new and in their original, sealed packaging. They can include pads, maternity pads, incontinence pads, new reusable pads, tampons, period-proof underwear and menstrual cups.
Drop your donations at one of 13 collection points across campus:
- Tower Building – level 4 concierge, level 17, level 12 or level 22
- UTS Library - entrance level foyer
- Building 4 – level 1 ActivateFit gym
- Building 5B – level 4
- Building 6 – LX Lab
- Building 8 – level 2 concierge
- Building 10 – level 2 Student Centre, level 4, level 5, level 14
You’re donating much more than pads and tampons, you’re giving a woman the essentials, so she doesn’t need to choose between food and dignity.
Your small act of kindness will give monthly dignity to Australia’s most vulnerable women.
If your faculty or unit would like to participate as a collection point, contact Raelene Turner in HRU.
