Studying or working at UTS, you’re within walking distance of some of the best places to be in Sydney. On this day of love, we’re sharing seven of our most romantic spots for you to spend some quality time with yourself or a special someone.
7. The library
It may not be the most romantic spot in the city, but with a quick Woolies run for some heart-shaped chocolates and a few textbooks, the library is the perfect place for a ‘study’ ‘date’.
6. The Underground
Name a more iconic duo than a UniBros pide and mood lighting. The Underground is the place to be, so find this spot to the right of the bar.
5. The Goods Line
A wise person (Pooh Bear) once said “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most space in your heart”. So fill the heart of your special someone with the simple act of a picnic on the Goods Line. Top it off by timing your date with the sun’s reflections off the Gehry building – it’s like your own private display of fireworks. If that doesn’t set off fireworks in your special someone’s heart, then we don’t know what will!
4. Darling Harbour
A short walk past the Goods Line and you’ll soon find yourself on the way to Darling Harbour. If you can manage to dodge the seagulls, you’ll be rewarded with a serene walk along the water. The perfect Valentine's setting is only ten minutes away.
3. Palace Cinemas
Just across from the UTS Tower Building, Palace Cinemas in Central Park opened last year. Catch the latest flick and then head over to…
2. Central Park Green
Grab some food and a date, or alternatively, skip the date and find someone’s dog to play with on the Green. If you’re lucky you might even make friends with an ibis.
1. The Loft
The fairy lights! The live music! If you’re after a low-key night, head up from The Underground and soak up the atmosphere. We’re giving The Loft the number one spot.
